John was my first of three brothers. As a child we went everywhere together, we had too, my dad
worked nights and we had to go out during school holidays so that he could sleep.
He joined the army at 17 and toured Hong Kong,Cyprus,Belize and Northern Ireland. During his tour of
Northern Ireland he was in the Ballykelly Disco pub bombing, he was lucky to escape with minor cuts
and bruises.
He married Ann. a friend of mine, in June 1983 and they had Kellie Marie 1st Jan 1984 they spent 5
years in Hong Kong. In March 25 1988 Joanne Louise was born.
Sadly John died 4 weeks later.
He is sadly missed by all the family and his regiment 22nd Cheshire.

my brother john
when we were kids we didnt get along much,as do most brothers and sisters.
as we grew older we spent more time in each others company and would even go out on the town when he was on leave from the army. he would fetch army colleagues home too but i never liked any.
i intoduced him to my friend ann,they hit it off right away, and he would often get caught by my mum after sneaking her in his room after a night out.
John & Ann got married the same month/year as me June 1983 at the same place Dukinfield registrar office and had his reception at the same pub North Star Dukinfield. How strange is that!!
i miss him so much his parting has left a big hole in my family, some of us don't even speak no more.
all I have are my photos and memories which i will treasure til we meet again.

The hardest cousin ever
WE WOULD GO OUT A FOLLOW HIM ABOUT LIKE THE HERO HE WAS WHEN EVER WE FELL DOWN OR GOT IN A FIGHT WE WOUND HAVE TO WIN OR GET UP WITH OUT CRYING OR HE,D GIVE YOU A CRACK AND SAY DONT BE SO SOFT AND NO MATTER HOW SOUR WE STILL HAD TO GET BACK UP THAT DRAIN AND OVER THAT ROOF HE WAS ALWAYS THE LEDDER OF BOYS BEING BOYS AND IM SO GLAD TO HAVE BEEN A BOY WITH YOUAND ALL THAT FUN.ALWAY THINK OFF YOU LITTLE JOHN
